How is the working life of slurry pump?

Slurry pump is a kind of industrial pump which is widely used to transport slurry containing abrasive solid particles in mine, power sector, metallurgical industry, coal and mining industry, environmental protection and other industries. For example, ore pulp transportation in metallurgical mills, hydraulic ash handling in heat-engine plants, coal slurry transportation in coal washeries, dredging the waterway and so on. In chemical industry, slurry pump may be used to transport caustic slurry containing crystals.

As for the applications of slurry pump in concentrating mills, about 80% of them are used in mine industry. Due to the abominable working conditions, the working life of slurry pump is commonly short. However, different ores have different abradabilities. In the concentrate conveying section, abradability relatively decreases so the working life of pump is a little longer.
